Influence of Adverse Environment on Cutter Suction Dredger and Countermeasures
Cutter suction dredger is easy to cause continuous fluctuation of the ship under the construction environment of strong wind and surge. When the cutter is in hard soil, the hydraulic pressure of the cutter is extremely unstable, and even causes the cutter to block rotation. The cutter head is knocked and the force is unbalanced, which not only damages the cutter teeth and back, but also may crack the fixing bolts of the floating seal ring assembly of the cutter bearing box, resulting in the O-ring of the floating seal ring being squeezed.
Countermeasures of construction force:
1. Stop construction if necessary.
2. Anti surge hydraulic compensator for equipment on bridge.
3. Control the depth of dredging.
4. Procedures for installing anti locked rotor hydraulic system.
As the construction environment faced by the dredger is different, some soil is soft and some soil is hard, and the bad soil will also have a great impact on the dredger. Different soil has different degrees of wear on the mud pump. The wear degree of the mud pump is directly proportional to the specific gravity of sediment particles and related to the hardness of the soil. The inner wall channel of the mud pump casing is impacted and scoured by the sand and stone flow thrown out by the impeller.
Countermeasures of the construction force:
1. Burn wear-resistant welding and grid welding for mud pump to add application time;
2. High chromium cast iron mud pump is selected.
The construction environment faced by the construction forces of each dredger is very different. Some harsh environments will affect the body and cutter of the dredger and affect the service life. Therefore, we should understand the construction environment before construction to ensure the normal operation of the dredger without damaging the dredger equipment.
