Additional safety precautions for large dredgers
Safety in production is more important than anything else! Today, Yongsheng Dredging Equipment will explain additional safety precautions for large dredger machinery: mainly including measures related to emergency situations and some auxiliary preventive measures adopted to improve machine safety.
(1) Emergency stop device
Each machine should be equipped with one or more emergency stop devices to avoid existing or impending dangerous situations. However, there are some exceptions, for example:
①Machines whose risks cannot be reduced by emergency stop devices, because they can neither reduce downtime nor take the required measures for the risks involved.
②Handheld machines and hand-guided machines.
The emergency stop device must be conspicuous, easy to identify, and allow the operator to quickly approach the manual manipulator; it can suppress the dangerous process as quickly as possible without generating additional risks; when necessary, it allows the triggering of certain types of safety devices.
The emergency stop device manipulator must remain engaged after being driven, and can only be disengaged through proper operation. Disengaging the manipulator should not restart the dredger, but only when it is allowed to start.
The specific requirements for the design of electric emergency stop devices shall comply with the provisions of the relevant electrical device standards.
(2) Evasion and rescue protection measures when people are in danger
Examples of such protection measures include: in facilities that may put operators in various dangers, escape routes and barriers should be prepared; when the dredger is shut down in an emergency, some components can be manually arranged to move; some parts can move in the opposite direction.
Similarly, in our daily work and life, we must also remember: safety first, the alarm bell should always ring; safety first, everyone should remember it; safety in production, joint efforts; production is important, safety should not be forgotten.
